Finding Your Project Reports
See how a project is going, or how it went, without opening every page. A project report puts the project's team, timeline, budget, deadlines, risks and goals in one summary, for a catch-up with a client or a look back once the work is done.
Opening A Report
Formta makes a report for each running project on the last day of every month, and a final report within a day of you setting a project to Completed. Project reports are part of the Studio and Pro plans.
- Go to the Projects page
- Find your project in the table
- In the Report column, click the clipboard icon
Until a project has its first report, the clipboard icon is greyed out. On Free and Personal, clicking it asks you to upgrade.
Reading A Report
The report opens with the project name and the report name at the top. A standard report covers:
- Project Summary: a written overview of the project
- Project Team: the people on the project, with their job titles
- Timeline: the project's stages and key dates
- Department Status: budget broken down by department
- Budget Status: the project's Project Budget Status Chart for the selected budget sheet, showing the selected month, or the whole project in a final report
- Upcoming Deadlines and Risks and Roadblocks: what's coming up and what's in the way
- Goals & KPIs: each goal with its KPI, result, notes and the person responsible
- Team Mood Tracker: how the team has been feeling
- Key Learnings and Takeaways: notes on what the project taught you
Selecting A Month
There's a report for every month the project ran, and a final one when it's done. To see another month, select it in the Select Month list at the top. The final report is listed with its month and final report. If the project has more than one budget, select which one the report's numbers are from in Select Budget.
Editing A Report
You can write the Project Summary and Key Learnings and Takeaways, and add the results to Goals & KPIs, in every report. Your changes save automatically.
If your project started from a template, its goals are added automatically from the Goals & KPI's table on the template's Evaluation page. It's one list in both places, so a change in the report shows in the table too, and the other way round. To add a goal, add a row to that table.
Exporting A Report
To keep a report or send it on, click the download icon in the report's header, and it's saved as a PDF named after the project and the month. The PDF has every section of the report, with the tables and the charts as they are in the report.
