Conversations on Elements
Talk about a part of the project right where it is. A conversation is a small comment window you place anywhere on a project page, next to the element it's about.
Starting A Conversation
Right-click on the project page where you want the conversation, and a conversation window opens in that spot. On a phone or tablet, press and hold instead.
The conversation is saved, and your team can see it, as soon as you write the first comment or select Keep conversation unfolded.
Writing Comments
Type in Write a comment... at the bottom of the window, and send it.
- Type @ to mention a team member. They get a notification
- Type # to link to a project, element, task, event, meeting or inventory item
- Add pictures, video, voice messages or files
To reply to a comment, click the reply icon on it. You can delete your own comments, and team admins can delete anyone's.
Collapsed And Expanded Conversations
When you click outside a conversation, it's collapsed into the profile photos of the people in it. Click it to expand it again. To keep it expanded, select Keep conversation unfolded at the top of the window. A conversation is collapsed or expanded for your whole team, not only for you.
Getting Notified About New Comments
Select Send me updates at the top of the window to get a notification when someone writes in the conversation. If your notification settings or the project's settings had new comments turned off, selecting it turns them on for you.
Moving And Deleting A Conversation
A conversation window sits on the page like an element, so you can place it where it's most useful, or delete it once it's done its job.
To move a conversation, drag it by the top of the window. To delete it, hover the window and click the X at the top. You'll be asked to confirm, and all its messages are deleted for everyone.
