Team Permissions

A team has two roles. Admins run the team: who's on it, what they can access and who the team pays for. Team Members work on the projects, inventories and calendars they've been given. This page explains what each role can do, and which plans a team can have.

For what someone can do inside a single project, see Project Permissions.

A Role Is For One Team

Your role belongs to one team. If you're in more than one team, you can be an admin of one and a Team Member of another at the same time, and neither affects the other.

That matters when you work with other studios. When another team invites you, you get the role they give you there, whatever your role is in your own team.

What Admins Can Do

Running the team is up to its admins. Only they can:

  • Invite new people to the team, and remove people from it
  • Send, resend and revoke invitations
  • Change someone's role, and which projects, inventories and calendars they can access
  • Rename the team and change its settings
  • Delete projects in the team
  • Pay for a freelancer's plan, and stop paying for it early
  • Pay for someone on a Pro trial, so they stay after the trial
  • Delete groups on the Team page, and turn the team's mood check-ins on or off
  • Approve or decline a request to share a personal calendar with someone on the team

Changing Someone's Role

An admin can make a Team Member an admin, or change an admin back to a Team Member, in Account → Team management. The change is saved as soon as you make it. You can't change your own role.

What Team Members Can Do

Team Members don't manage the team, but they can do everything their work needs:

  • Work on the projects, inventories and calendars they've been given access to
  • Create new projects in the team
  • Add other people from the team to a project, when they create it or later. The person gets an invitation to accept
  • Create and rename groups on the Team page, write posts and take part in conversations
  • Ask to share their personal calendar with someone on the team. An admin approves it first

Which Plans Can Have A Team

A team is for working together, so it comes with the plans made for more than one person: Studio and Pro. Anyone on a Pro trial can be in a team too.

PlanCan have a team?Users
FreeNo, only during a Pro trial1
PersonalNo, only during a Pro trial1
StudioYes5 included, up to 20 more, 25 at most
ProYes1 included, no limit on more, €200 a month for each

A Studio team has up to 25 people. You can buy up to 20 more users on top of the 5 included, and everyone on the team counts towards the 25, whatever plan they're on themselves. A whole studio your team pays for counts as one. When a Studio team is full, it can't add anyone else until someone leaves.

A Pro team has no limit. You pay €200 a month for each user your team pays for.

Anyone can be invited to a team, whatever plan they're on. The team pays for them, unless they have their own Pro plan. See Team Billing.
