Workspace Basics
Elements are what you build a project page with: lists, kanbans, charts, calendars, canvases and more. Each one has its own job, from tracking a budget to collecting references on a moodboard.
Adding An Element
- Click on the project page where you want the element to be added, and type / to open the element menu. On a phone or a small tablet, tap the + button in the bottom-right corner instead
- Search for the element you want, or scroll through the list. The elements you've used most recently are at the top for easy access
- Select the element to add it to the page
To add text, click an empty spot on the page and start typing.
All Elements
These are the elements you'll find in the element menu:
- Blueprint: Draw floor plans to scale, with walls, doors, windows, rooms, dimensions and furniture. Available on the Studio and Pro plans

- Brooklyn Museum, Metropolitan Museum, Rijksmuseum, SMK Denmark, NMAAHC, Colbase and Te Papa (Museum Collections): Browse each museum's public-domain artwork. The pieces you select are added to the page as images
- Pexels: Search stock photos. The photos you select are added to the page as images
Working With Elements
- Move: Drag the element to where you want it on the page
- Resize: Hover the element and drag one of the handles on its corners or sides
- Delete: Click the element to select it, and press Delete or Backspace. Press ⌘ / Ctrl + Z if you deleted it by mistake
On a phone, or a small tablet held upright like an iPad mini, elements can't be moved or resized. On a larger tablet you can drag an element to move it, or drag one of its handles to resize it.
Connecting Elements
Many elements can show data from another element and stay up to date with it, so you only type things once. Keep your vendors in one Table, and every other table that shows them updates when a vendor's details do. Plan your posts in a Content Calendar, and they show up in your To Do List too, where marking one complete marks it complete in both. Connect a Budget Sheet to a Budget Dashboard, and you'll see your budget as charts. See Connecting Elements.
Working Together
On a team project, the changes your team members make show up on your page while you work. Inside an element you'll also see where the others are working.
If you've worked offline and someone else changed the same element in the meantime, you'll select which version to keep when you're back online (see Working Offline).
Templates
A template sets up the project structure for that kind of work, with its pages and the elements already on them. To add one, click Use template at the bottom of the element menu, select the type of project, and click Add template. You can also select a template when you create a new project.
Templates are included on every plan:
- Art direction: Brand campaigns from concept to social media, website, print, billboards, TV and online ads
- Graphic design: Brand assets, concepts, sketches and the final design
- Design: From user research and analysing the problem to prototypes and user feedback
- Interior design: From the design brief and site assessment to material selection, orders, installation and styling
- Architecture: From the project brief and site assessment to construction documents, permits and bidding
- Photography: Call sheets, shot lists, equipment, locations, models, image processing, photo selection and file delivery
- 3D art: From story development and storyboards to modelling, texturing, rigging, lighting, rendering and visual effects
- Events, galleries & studio spaces: Crew, volunteers, vendors, venue, stage design, tech riders, safety plans and tickets
- Creative teams & studios: Campaigns with design briefs, copywriting, social media, advertising and media
- Producers & project managers: Productions with sponsors and funding, vendors, locations, logistics and safety plans
Your Own Templates
Once you've set up a project the way you like it, click the bookmark icon to the right of the page tabs to save it as a template. Manage Templates on the Projects page lists the templates you've saved, where you can search them, edit or delete them, and start a project from one.
